The official launch of the electronic Easter magazine, “Mawatha,” published by the National Catholic Writers’ Organization, under the patronage of the National Catholic Mass Communication Director, Rev. Fr Jude Krishantha Fernando and the participation of the editor of the oldest continuously published magazine in the island, “Bhakti Prabodhanaya ” Catholic Magazine , Rev Fr Emad Dalpadadu (O.M.I ) ??was held recently at Joe neth Auditorium in Colombo.
The certificates of appreciation and prizes were awarded to the following ten amateur children and adult writers who contributed creatively to Mawatha magazine: Abhishek Chalidu (St. Aloysius Seminary, Borella), Hesali Hevagama (St Bridget’s Convent, Colombo) , Hasanta Praveen ( Holy Cross College, Kalutara), Rumesh Hiran (St. Aloysius Seminary, Borella), Lasindu Malintha ( De Mazenod College, Kandana ), Dilini Dissanayake (Holy Family Convent, Bambalapitiya), Malith Pasan ( De Mazenod College, Kandana ), Jacintha Sanjeevani, Desika Liyanage and Tilakshi Udani
