Misty condition can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern and Uva provinces in the morning.
Several spells of showers will occur at Northern, North-Central and Eastern provinces while showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in the other provinces of the island after 1.00 p.m.
Winds will be North-easterly in direction and wind speed will be (25-35) kmph.
The sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate but temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.
The public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
