The MPs will be given a fuel efficient vehicle each, Minister of Public Security and Parliamentary Affairs, Ananda Wijepala has said.
He has said they can use the vehicles until the end of the term of the current Parliament.
The MPs would not be entitled to luxury vehicles, he has said. “We took this decision to ensure tax money is used in the most efficient way.”
