Chairman of the Election Commission (EC) R.M.A.L. Ratnayake said that the printing of ballot papers for the May 06 Local Government (LG) elections had commenced yesterday (23).
Ratnayake said that ballot papers had been sent for printing, based on the details received from the District Secretariats, as per the established procedure.
The EC introduced a new mobile App on Saturday (22) to facilitate the filing of complaints related to LG elections.
The EC App enables the public to submit election-related complaints fast.
Chairman Ratnayake said, “Complaints can be made via this App and users can track the status of their complaints. The App also allows users to submit video and photo evidence to support their claims.”
This initiative aims to enhance transparency and efficiency in addressing election-related concerns.
