Suwasevana Hospitals has partnered with the National Insurance Trust Fund (NITF) to enhance healthcare benefits for Sri Lanka’s government employees under the Agrahara Medical Insurance program. This collaboration aims to make advanced medical care more accessible and affordable for public sector workers and their families.

Under this partnership, Suwasevana Hospitals will waive admission fees for Agrahara patients, provide free OPD consultations, and offer a 10% discount on laboratory tests and radiology services, including CT, MRI, mammograms, X-rays, and ultrasound scans. Additionally, there will be a 10% discount on ECHO and ECG tests, a free ambulance service within a 10-kilometer radius, and a 20% discount on room charges. Patients undergoing coronary bypass surgeries will receive a Rs. 50,000 discount.

The Agrahara Medical Insurance program, launched in 1997 and managed by NITF since 2006, serves over 1.5 million public sector employees and their families. Through this partnership, insured employees will have access to specialized care at Suwasevana Hospitals, one of Kandy’s most trusted private healthcare providers.

CEO Nalin Pasqual emphasized the significance of this collaboration, stating that the partnership with NITF reaffirms the hospital’s commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare to Sri Lanka’s government employees. He highlighted the importance of supporting the Agrahara program and extending exclusive benefits to public sector workers and their families.

Head of Business Development Srimath Welivita announced a major healthcare milestone for Kandy, revealing that Suwasevana Hospitals will begin offering cardiothoracic bypass surgeries by the end of the month. He noted that the hospital is fully equipped with the latest technology and advanced medical equipment to ensure the highest standard of care and the best outcomes for patients. As part of this expansion, Kandy’s first-ever modular theatre dedicated to cardiothoracic surgeries will be introduced, marking a significant advancement in the region’s healthcare sector.

This partnership underscores the shared mission of Suwasevana Hospitals and NITF to provide affordable, high-quality healthcare to public sector employees, ensuring they receive the care they deserve.
