No isolated case has been brought to the notice of authorities as of yet : COVID-19

All coronavirus patients reported recently are linked to the Minuwangoda Covid Cluster, Head of the National Operations Centre for the Prevention of COVID-19 (NOCPC) and Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva said.

He said that no isolated case has been brought to the notice of authorities as of yet.

The Army Commander further ruled out that a community spread of COVID-19 has begun following an increase in patients detected since last week.

He said the quarantine Curfew imposed in certain parts of the Gampaha district will remain in effect for a few more days.

Meanwhile, all public and private institutions have been requested to update personal details of their employees’ within the next three days.

DIG Ajith Rohana said that if the need arises public and private institutions will be required to submit the information to the military or health authorities.

The move is part of attempts being made to maintain details of individuals in the event the virus spreads in an institution or location.
