The Sri Lanka Navy joined hands with the Department of Wildlife Conservation and the National Aquatic Resources Research and Development Agency (NARA), to rescue a 20 foot long Minke whale stranded in the Puttalam lagoon off the Ippanthivu island and guide it back to the open ocean today (08th August 2023).
